About Simon...
Having sold a very successful business in 2006, I decided to take the opportunity to study within Chartered Insurance Institute & was awarded the professional certification CII (MP) in 2007.

I then went on to join Countrywide in October 2007 as a Mortgage & Protection Consultant, and in July 2009 was promoted to a Senior Consultant. I spent many happy years at Countrywide, providing clients with a tailored solution for their mortgage and protection needs.
​
However, when the opportunity came to team up with Dean at DJB Mortgages a trading name of Just Mortgages Direct Limited in September 2020, I jumped at the chance to make a move across. In February 2024 I decided to step back from the mortgage adviser role, and take on a new role at DJB Mortgages as a Business Development Manager.
​
My wife and I have lived in Guildford for over 38 years. We have three grown-up children and six grandchildren, and to me ‘family are the most important thing’, and this is why I am very passionate about ensuring loved ones are protected should the worst-case scenario happen.
In my spare time, when I am not working or looking after my grandchildren, I play cricket for a local team, am a keen fly fisherman and hiker. I have been fortunate enough to travel and fish in some fantastic places such as Alaska, The Bahamas, Slovenia and beautiful parts of the UK such as the Scottish highlands the lake district and the Wye valley in Wales.
